my ex fiance and i got engaged, had the engagement party, set a date, he broke up with me 3 months later, a week later i found out i was 5 weeks pregnant, he did not want me to keep the baby, but i have decided to, and all is going well. He is off living his life, he contacts me now and again, but his busy living his life, comes to the ultrasounds but just plays with my head. Every time i dont answer my phone for a day or so to him, he leaves me msgs asking if im seeing someone, im now 15 weeks pregnant and going to be doing this on my own. I will cope with providing and caring for my baby, its just what should i do, with my ex? my parents say get rid of him. But i want to wake up and the baby have both parents there. Any single mums out there figured out the best way to get through this? best way to move on?

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best - the best being that you have a healthy co-parenting relationship.
Move on from him as much as humanly possible before baby arrives.
You also can't control his actions. He will be the father he wants to be, you can't force him into anything. Understand that even babies with one awesome parent are just as well-rounded and happy!
You can do this!
Let go of that traditional family image! If he wants to be part of the baby's life, then he will, in his own way. But you can't confuse his relationship with the baby with the relationship he will have with you. He ended the engagement, and the baby will not bring him back. Please don't hold out hope that the baby will have two parents living under the same roof ... it will just torture you.
Many kids are very happy with a single parent family, and it sounds like you have supportive parents who will be there with you too. Just move on, and think of him as a "fun uncle" who might occasionally visit ... because in the end, unless he is there day in and day out, for all the hardships that come with parenthood, that's all he will really mean in the baby's life anyway. You, however, will be the baby's rock and his or her hero!!
Welcome to parenthood ... it is sometimes hard, but it is ALWAYS worth it!!!!!!
