I am a single mother of my 7month daughter, Sonoma. I am so stressed out and feel overwhelmed & confused. My daughter is having a difficult time whenever I step away from her, she is about to get her first tooth in. Wondering if her screaming/crying tantrums are due to the pain from her teeth, colic or something completely different. I shower her with as much love as possible but sometimes I need just 30 minutes to myself. I need her to take a nap.. and she seems to fight sleep. I haven't been able to get her to take a nap for the past two weeks. The only time she seems to fall asleep for an extended amount of time is in a car ride or when I lay down and breastfeed her. I don't know what to do anymore. She screams like someone is hurting her. It's frightening. I am just exhausted and want to comfort her but I can't hold her all the time.. I want her to learn how to fall asleep on her own or play on her own in a safe environment such as; her playpen. She gets upset every time I place her in their, the confinement of the playpen angers & upsets her. Please, any advice?

My daughter is a year and a half now but I definitely remember those days, it is SO tough. For pain I gave my daughter infant Tylenol, Hylands teething tablets, or Orajel. It seems like when the tooth finally broke through she was back to herself and would be content by herself for a few minutes. At times I had to just put her in a sling and get stuff done with her in it. Good luck and hang in there! You're doing a great job!

my son was very sticky towards me. he needed me every single minute.
but gradually as he became around 8 months i started sending him with the nearby kids who were fond of playing with him.
so it became easier for me and merrier for him.
