Okay. So my son is 5mths tomorrow,and his father still hasnt seen him. Ive been thinking lately about how Id really like my son to have his father around..and all the things I could have done differently. I told him I wanted my space after I found out I was pregnant and according to him, I got it.
Anyways, the other day his brother (whom I never met his dads family.and I added his brother without realizing it was him to my email!) wrote me asking to hang out! I had suddenly got excited and felt like maybe it was my chance to get my son involved with his family. Yet,we ended up getting together with friends and playing pool... Definitely wasnt the time or place. And not very much uncomfortable for me. But a weird situation!
Any suggestions on what I could do.

I don't really know what you should do, but
I'm in a somewhat similar situation and I can tell you that if your sons dad and his family were good, decent people, they would have been there for you and your son already. That said, if you want your son to have a relationship with them, which I understand completely tell them in writing, in person or on the phone and see what happens. At least you will be the decent, mature adult in the situation and will have given the the opportunity to do and be the same. Either way, I think your a fantastic mom for wanting to give your son all you can and I hope you are proud of yourself!Posted 2 years ago #
